Welcome fellow Pacers fan!
As you know, finding great Pacers Tickets is probably the hardest part of being a Pacers supporter, but here you will find information on how to obtain 'hard to get' and 'sold out' tickets.
2007-08 Season
What happened to the Pacers? They went from being a total contender to breaking down. In such a strong and competitive division, it comes down to winning the necessary games – and critics are wondering if Indiana will be able to find itself, carry on and start winning. Unfortunately for Pacers ticket buyers, the only expectations they can have is for their team not to end at the bottom. To add to the problems, Stephen Jackson has to deal with off court legal problems, which will continue into the season. Jermaine O’Neal has the numbers to prove he is the centerpiece of the team, but has had to deal with suspensions and injuries. Sugarcoating aside, in this division it will be tough for the Pacers to advance without O’Neal on board. Fans can definitely expect the Pacers to be trouble shooting this season.
Previous Seasons
The best thing about Indiana Pacer tickets is that they come with a built-in chance to watch a one-season rebuilding process. This team has the ability to compete this year, but it may not happen with Ron Artest. So Pacer President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird will find some new talent in exchange for Artest, and the team will go forward. OR Bird and Artest will work it out, and the Pacers will make a renewed effort towards the NBA Playoffs after the All-Star Break. Either way, the second half of the season is going to be filled with drama.
Jermaine O’Neal and Jamaal Tinsley will wait out the proceedings and be ready to put together a playoff push in 2006. It is a great time to buy your Indiana Pacer tickets and watch this team’s turnaround in person at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The Pacers always seem to be on the verge. Besides their ABA days, when they were 3-time champs, the Pacers have been marred by their continued inability to make the final steps towards a championship.
Despite the efforts of stars like Billy Knight, Wayman Tisdale, Chuck Person, and Reggie Miller; the Pacers were never able to push themselves over the top. Every time they would get close, there was always a Julius Erving, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, Michael Jordan, or Shaquille O’Neal who managed to outlast them and move on to NBA championships.
Not that the Pacers did not put up a good fight. Just ask Bird or Jordan about some of the legendary playoff games they have endured versus the likes of Person and Miller. O’Neal’s Lakers barely pushed past the Bird-coached Pacers in the 2000 NBA Finals. But in the end, it was never in the cards for the Pacers.
Some of the recent teams have gotten close to a return to the NBA Finals behind Miller and Jermaine O’Neal, only to fall short to new stars like Jason Kidd and Ben Wallace.
2003-2004 was supposed to be the season that changed all that, as the Pacers held the best record in the league going into a November 19th contest versus rival Detroit. On that fateful night Artest charged the stands, effectively ruining what was supposed to be a championship send-off for Miller that year.
Going into this season Indiana Pacer ticket holders had high hopes. Despite the loss of their future Hall-of-Famer, the Pacers were poised to make another run at the NBA Finals. Coach Rick Carlisle looked forward to the opportunity of having an entire season with Artest. The honeymoon ended quickly, however, and soon Artest was asking for a trade.
This will all sort itself out, and Pacers will continue to improve as a team. O’Neal and Tinsley are both having All-Star years, and help is around the corner, once the Artest situation is squared away. This may be the year that Indiana Pacer ticket holders finally get to the top of the NBA pile.
